Meet Judge Ivey
Appointed Judge. Proven on the Bench. Ready to Keep Serving.
With over 25 years of legal experience, Judge Ben Ivey has built his career in the courtroom as a prosecutor, defense attorney, and now Judge of the 120th Judicial District Court. A fourth-generation El Pasoan and Cathedral High School graduate, he earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and both his MBA and law degree from Texas Tech University.
Judge Ivey began his career as an assistant district attorney for El Paso County before founding his own law firm and establishing an extensive criminal defense practice. Appointed to the bench in 2025, he brings decades of courtroom experience, sound judgment, and a deep commitment to the El Paso community.
